 Welcome

The 3rd annual South Side Strong Summit, hosted by the Office of Civic Engagement at the University of Chicago, aims to provide a forum for civic leaders and nonprofit professionals to connect and share experiences and perspectives; to exchange knowledge on sector best practices and available resources; and to accelerate the positive impact participating organizations have in building a stronger, more resilient South Side.

The 2025 theme, “Connecting Community. Catalyzing Impact”, will explore the ways we can work together to achieve positive transformational change, with a special focus this year on community violence intervention and prevention.

The program will feature a four-track plenary program of 12 informative sessions in organizational governance; leadership development; emerging areas and nonprofit fundamentals; and opportunities for collaboration and networking.

We encourage you to take full advantage of this opportunity to exchange ideas and gain valuable insights from your peers and experts in the field.
